not good news from the eye specialist in Brisbane yesterday ... another tiny hole has appeared in my retina so I have to have more laser work done .... even worse the other eye needs work as well so I'm sulking today.
Clivey says I should look in the bright side ... at least it can be fixed and was found early enough to be a 5 minute job. I'm still sulking though ... I'm just not prepared to let logic get in the way of a good sulk!

It took nearly 12 months before we finished renovations and opened with 2 B&B rooms as Hillcrest B&B. Over the years we've upgraded and evolved into Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat - offering romantic and peaceful holiday accommodation to a maximum of only three couples - 2 couples in the private guest wing of our own home and one couple in our separate fully self contained honeymoon Cottage.
What It Really Means to Be A B&B Operator
yes it is a wonderful lifestyle .. we live in a beautiful place and meet some wonderful people. It's very satisfying to see our stressed-out city guests gradually relax as the Hillcrest magic washes away their cares and worries.
Shoulders that started out hunched and stiff, gradually soften and drop ... especially if they treat themselves to a massage from our lovely Lisa .. the best masseuse on the planet!

We would love to come again but, sadly, Ruth is ill with something like Parkkinson's Disease and is badly disabled. However, we can always remember the days we spent in your little bit of Paradise.
